Last Friday, we had our first seminar in World's Fair which was quite interesting. When I first entered the computer lab, I was very surprised of what would expect me. The class was smaller than I thought (honestly, I believed that 25 students would come to the seminar because I expected it to be very interesting).
After introducing herself, Jana Meissner explained us how to construct our own learning log. I already knew the homepage blogger.com since I have been using it for my French tutorials. However, I haven't heard of such a thing as a learning log before and I wondered what we were going to do. By now, I assume that a learning log is a very good tuel for oneself in order to revise and to reflect about the last or coming sessions.

Last week, I read the first two introductory chapters of World's Fairs. Before I started reading it, however, I wasn't quite sure about what World's Fairs really meant and what the difference was between a national fair and an international fair because when I first informed myself on wikipedia about the meaning of World's Fairs, I was surprised about all the international fairs that have already been hosted. I knew that I had misunderstood something. Now I know that the article on wikipedia was a little bit confusing.
